A referral, in recruitment terminology, is a recruiting method in which people recommend suitable contacts for a specific career opportunity from within their network, be it professional, family or social. There are a number of reasons why a referral is classified as an excellent recruitment tool but most clear is that people will only refer a candidate whose skills and education match the job on offer.

Phillip Riley partners with a service provider ( who enables and enhances the recruitment referral experience for those who submit a candidate for Phillip Riley’s consideration. ensures that the candidate referrer is automatically informed and kept updated via automatic email technology.

Our dedicated referral platform is built into our website as a part of our jobs section on our website. Referrals are welcomed either directly via email, or by following the referral links on our job listings. If the candidate is successful in placement, following a six-month probationary period, a referral fee of $500 will be paid to the referrer in the form of a prepaid voucher, or a donation to Phillip Riley’s Renewable Energy Scholarship fund, which will provide funds to underrepresented university students studying a renewable energy degree.
